Thunder in the middle of the earth: Returning. Ancient rulers closed the passes on winter solstice to prevent travelers from pursuing their journeys & officials from inspecting their states.
復: 亨。出入无疾, 朋來无咎。 反復其道,七日來復, 利有攸往。
Returning: Success. Going out & coming in without error. Friends arrive without blame. Back & forth goes the way. On the seventh day comes return. Beneficial to have somewhere to go.

Confused return. Misfortune. Disaster. If armies are set marching, they will suffer great defeat: disastrous for the ruler of the country. There will not be victory for ten years.
