山上有火，旅； 君子以明慎用刑， 而不留獄。
Mountain below fire: Wandering. Superior people are careful & clever in imposing punishments. They do not delay the cases brought.
Wandering: Small success. Continuing leads to good fortune.
鳥焚其巢， 旅人先笑後號咷。 喪牛于易，凶。
A bird manages to burn its own nest. At first the wanderer laughs, but then has cause to shout & weep. A cow is lost through carelessness. Misfortune.
They shoot a pheasant. It drops with one arrow. In the end this brings both praise & office.
The traveler reaches a sanctuary where they find rest & money needed for expenses, yet laments that their heart is not glad.
The inn where the wanderer stays burns down. They lose the loyalty of their young servant. To continue is dangerous.
旅即次， 懷其資， 得童僕貞。
The wanderer comes to an inn. They have property with them. They win the loyalty of a young servant.
If the wanderer dallies with petty matters, they attract disaster.
